I was doing a bit of cleaning and found this. I really like the direction this was taking.

Hour study

Oil

Oil

Woah, this is really old and I don't really paint like this.

New tool.

Woah, next level on the niji water brush.

Little helper

30 min oil

Here is a quick.  Trying to experiment with red and see what I can do with it.

Egon

Doing some long overdue cleaning and found this. This also gave me a chance to try this blogger app.

Dictator sketch

Working on a piece about a dictator addressing his staff.  Trying to work on the character with this one.

Another quickie... trying to work on different process and colors for a future project.

Another quick one. I feel really bad because i could not find this persons name.

"Gimme my Bread"

Ran across this interesting picture of Kimbo Slice. So i decided to do this quick sketch.

Cash

Here is a quick sketch of Johnny Cash. The eyes are a little tweeked , it was late and done in a couple of hours.

I don't know why, but I'm really fascinated by mug shots.

i found this one of Johnny and thought i would make a great piece if i substitute the i.d. card with one that has a shape of a guitar.

Omar- detail

Here is a detail of a piece that for months has been fighting me and sits unfinished.

Blackfoot Woman

Quick one.

Sitting Bull

So since school's put for summer i have been trying to stay busy. The only way that can happen is if i give myself stupid "assignments."  I have been reading and doing research on Native Americans. I chose this culture because of their philosophical diversity and their respect for the earth.  Aside from that,  i think that they have very interesting  features.

So i have been trying to do daily painting to experiment with different techniques and styles.

More to come.

Thanks for stopping by

Night Horse

This is an image i had to do for my ILL 3 class. I don't have the fairy tale in front of me right now.  The story is about a horse that travels through the  land bringing the night.

This was done in photoshop... photoshop is definitely not my thing

Border Project

Just finished this one. This is an editorial on the Mexican/U.S. boarder. I dont want to get into politics at the moment, so we'll leave it at that for now.

Musician on Board

Just got this back from school. I thought i put it up because it's really important to me. This is going to sound totally lame, but i really felt like i grew with this piece. Up to this point i was drawing and painting tight. With this piece i just let lose. I was drawing on brown paper pasting it to a board and painting on top of that. Then, i woul start another drawing then paste it on top of the old one wait for it to dry then tare it off. Put some more paint, mainly tones. I did this back and forth for a wile till this came out. Out of everything i have done, this is my favorite.

Mixed 9.75x13.5

I think im finally done with this one. This was for one of my classes.  The concept had to do with time and the passage of time. I had fun working with this one. This is my first time incorporating a monotype into my work.

Clothed figure indoors.

This is a figure indoors i had to do for class. It still needs some work...not quite done.
